"A sparkling Riesling with fruit sourced from the high-altitude Whitlands site of the upper King Valley. The Col Fondo style is immediately identifiable from its dusty-cloudy golden hues and lees-defined honeyed, buttery scents in honeysuckle, gingerbread, honeyed toast, quince, grapefruit and preserved lemon. Riesling works so well with this style, drawing you in with complex flavours and a clean middle-palate texture while married to an enlivening acidity that takes the flavours long. Finishes brisk and bright. Super smart, 93 points".
