"The first release from a muscat solera started from scratch in the last decade. Has an average age of more than 5 years and is regarded by the maker as a 'young muscat'. Fantastic to see a Rutherglen producer interested in pursuing this great Australian fortified tradition, which firmly placed Rutherglen on the international wine map. It may not be the most complex Classic Muscat, but it certainly boasts strong luscious and delicious factors – very important! – in dried fruits, nougat, fig and fruitcake. Clean and fresh, spirit-wise. Excellent inaugural release, 89 points, special value".

"Ruby-amber in the glass. Aromas of toffee, stewed plum, sweet spice and a nutty, woodsy lift. Luscious and mouth-filling, with good balance between fruit, oak and spirit. Decent length and bright acidity rounds it out nicely, 88 points".
