$20 each
"Shiraz with Durif in support, in a fortified style. Retains the freshness of youth – it is a youngster still at five years old – with layers of sweet shiraz black fruits, blueberry, licorice, spice and chocolate. Nice intensity on display with brandy spirit warmth, 92 points, special value".

"Mea culpa. I’ve had this wine for quite some time but finally got around to it. It’s still available. $18 for 500ml.
Chocolate sauce, violet, sweet black fruits, a slight earthy potato spirit, but it works in the wine in a traditional Aussie VP way. It’s rich, nutty and chocolaty, some liquorice, warm and generous, and again that lively floral spirit pushes out a ripe and grainy finish of excellent length. Classic stuff. And very good. Cohesive and tasty. And something of a bargain too, 92 points".
Winefront, Gary Walsh www.winefront.com.au
"A youthful dark red in appearance. Aromas of plum, mulbery, bramble, nutty spirit and spice. Mouth-filling, fleshy, firm and dark fruit driven in flavour. The tannins are firm and assertive and the spirit sits nicely in the wine, 89 points".
